Tailor avocado & jalapeño cream sauce to your taste

This recipe is incredibly versatile, and feel free to adjust it to your personal taste! For example, if you don’t like spicy things, omit the jalapeño (although without the seeds it’s not really spicy). Add more or less salt to your liking. Make it thicker with more plain Greek yogurt or thinner by adding more water. Add more or less garlic. Have fun with it and make it to your taste!

How to always have perfectly ripe avocados on hand

Have you ever gotten a great deal on 5 avocados, but then they all go ripe at once?

There is nothing worse than an overripe avocado, and there is (almost) nothing better than a perfectly ripe one!

Luckily avocados freeze like a dream! Here’s how to have perfectly ripe frozen avocados all the time to make this delicious and versatile avocado & jalapeño cream sauce!

When your avocados are firm, yet tender to the touch, they are ripe and ready to eat. Cut them into quarters and then peel off the skin and remove the seed.

Place them on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper (to prevent sticking) for 30 minutes to an hour. This will make the avocados firm so that they do not squish together in the freezer. They even retain their gorgeous green color and don’t brown (just make sure to get out all the air from the bag).

Place them into a freezer bag and use in things like smoothies or this avocado & jalapeño cream sauce!
